Portugal is the industrially-agrarian country. The industry of Portugal substantially depends on import of oil and mineral oil. The third industrial area is located in 140 km to the south from Lisbon in the city-port of Sinishe — fuel power stations here are concentrated. Due to reorganization of foreign economic relations, competitiveness of production was possible to raise considerably orientations to hi-tech production. The agriculture takes 6% in total amount of gross national product of the country. The main agricultural crops are: wheat, barley, corn, rice, potato, grapes, olives, tomatoes. Portugal — is the leader of export of faults, tomatoes and tomato paste. Fishery also has great value in a national economy. In agrarian sector and fishery 12% of the population of the country are borrowed. Portugal exports clothes and the foodstuffs, machines, production chemical and pulp and paper industry, leather. Imports — machines and transport, mineral oil, production of the chemical industry, textiles, the foodstuffs. The basic trading partners are Spain, Germany, France, Italy. |
